The boards have arrived

After completing the board designs in Eagle CAD, I sent my board designs away to be etched. Three weeks later, they arrived!

So far one board is completed, I will not be selling these boards until I fix several problems.

Have to start somewhere…

After setting up the Basement Hobbies blog and leaving it up for a year untouched, I thought I might start updating the blog now that I am starting to have free time and some content.

I’ll begin with something I have been planning to work on for some time, and that is the Uzebox JAMMA. As some people out there may know, the Uzebox is an open source game development platform based on the Atmel AVR atmega644 Microcontroller (Can be found at www.belogic.com/uzebox). The idea of the Uzebox JAMMA is to allow Uzebox game development to be brought to arcade machines. By using the standard JAMMA connections, the Uzebox JAMMA can be retrofitted into most any arcade cabinet. The current progress of the Uzebox JAMMA can be seen here.

Over the course of time, I will post pictures and information about the progress of this project. So in the meantime, stay tuned for more!
